The Indian Army says it has eliminated a total of 13 Pakistani terrorists along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. India has been consistently accusing Pakistan of harbouring terrorists while Pakistan says New Delhi could be planning a ‘false flag operations’
While three terrorists were eliminated in Rajouri district’s Nowshera sector, ten additional heavily-armed terrorists were killed in an encounter with the Indian Army soldiers in Mendhar along the LoC in the Jammu, a report in Indian Today claims.
An army official reportedly told India Today – The continuing anti-infiltration mission which commenced on May 28, Indian Army soldiers neutralized an infiltration attempt along the LoC in Mendhar sector and killed at least ten militants.
The unnamed officer further adds – the terrorists made the futile attempt to escape into the Kalal area of Nowshera from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir but were eliminated in the consequent encounter with the soldiers.
The report claims that the bodies of all the three terrorists were detected by the search parties but could not be recovered due to close proximity of the enemy posts and threat of sniper fire.
However, a large number of arms and ammunition, including two AK assault rifles, a US-make M-16A2 rifle, a 9-MM Chinese pistol, a UBGL with six grenades, five hand grenades and two knives, was recovered during the operation, the officials said.
Additionally, the report mentions recovering food item, medicines and Rs 17,000 in Indian currency from the rucksacks of the militants which were discarded by the terrorists while attempting to flee.
Earlier, a senior Indian Army officer stated that around 15 launch pads across Line of Control in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir are full of terrorists. The officer also stated that the Indian army is forecasting an increase in infiltration attempts in the summer as terror groups look to support their cadres in the valley.
Earlier, as EurAsian Times reported, for a second time in a week, Pakistan PM Imran Khan forewarned the global community that India could be planning to attack Pakistan. Khan’s fresh warning came as India reportedly violated ceasefire violations along the LoC while attempting to check cross border incursions.
“I am reiterating again that a false flag operation is imminent from India in order to divert world attention away from its ongoing genocide in IOJK [Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir],” Khan tweeted.
Later, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi also urged the United Nations in blocking any military escalation between India and Pakistan and reemphasised Pakistan’s offer to the UN Military Observer Group to visit the Line of Control.
Qureshi highlighted continued Indian ceasefire violations at the Line of Control and the Working Boundary and intentional targeting of innocent civilians.
Rejecting the groundless Indian allegations of terror “launch pads”, Qureshi reiterated Pakistan’s offer to the UN Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan to visit the sites to confirm the truthfulness of Indian claims.
He claimed that the real Indian reason behind blaming Pakistan is to create a pretext for a “false flag” operation, about which Islamabad has been alerting the international community.
