Saudi Prince resisted arrest which resulted in a gunfire leading to his death: Sources
The ArabicAlIthad News quoted a Saudi Royal Court released a statement about the death of another Saudi prince who died at a young age of 44. However, the reason of death was not given.
Saudi prince Abdul Aziz bin (44) was the youngest son of King Fahd and was reportedly arrested on Sunday. The news of his arrest saw a huge gunfight arriving from various sources. According to the reports, Abdul Aziz was also hospitalized.
The Al-Masdar news network first reported the news of his death and later removed it.
After few verified accounts broke the news, the rumors of death started to do the rounds again on Twitter and other popular social media platforms.
Meanwhile, other reports said that Aziz was killed in a gunfight while allegedly resisting arrest. However, a report on The Duran website did not mention any gunfight but only said that the prince ‘died during an attempted arrest’.
PRINCE MANSOUR BIN MUQRIN’S DEATH
Earlier, one Saudi prince had died in a helicopter crash near the border of Yemen on Sunday afternoon.
Prince Mansour Bin Muqrin was the appointed Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. He was also the member of the House of Saud and son of former crown prince Prince Muqrin al-Saud
He was also the governor of Asir, a southern province of Saudi Arabia. Several other government officials were also killed in the crash with whom Muqrin was traveling, state TV Ekhbariya reported.
The incident of helicopter crash came after Saudi Arabian government formed new anti-corruption committee on Saturday night and arrested nearly a dozen princes, and several other former and current officials.
Among those arrested is also Alwaleed bin Talal, who is one of the richest people in the world with a heavy investment in the marquee brands of the world.
