Russia has warned Georgia that the unfriendly actions by Tbilisi on international platforms threaten the process of normalization of relations between Russia and Georgia. This was stated by State Secretary, Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin in an interview with the newspaper Izvestia, published on Monday.
“Tbilisi is still not going to restore diplomatic relations, continues hostile activity at international forums, willingly participates in the NATO drills to deter and provoke Russia. Moscow directly warned Georgian partners that this behaviour threatens the process of normalization of Russia-Georgia relations that began in 2012, the fruits of which the citizens of both countries are enjoying today, “said the deputy foreign minister of the Russian Federation.
According to Karasin, the progress in foreign trade partnership and collaboration in transport is clearly evident. Under these conditions, according to Karasin, the introduction of a mutual visa-free regime is not excluded, but here the absence of diplomatic relations between the countries is an obstacle.
