Quetta Bomb Blast – 5 Killed, 27 Injured In Bomb Blast Targeted At Police Van

Quetta Bomb Blast: At least five people including two cops were killed and 27 injured in a blast near a police station in Quetta, Pakistan on Tuesday evening. As per reports, an explosive-laden motorcycle was detonated to target a police van parked outside the police station in Quetta’s busy shopping area, the city police chief said.

“Five people have been martyred, including two policemen,” Abdul Razzaq Cheema said.

Two women and a child are among the 27 injured in the blast, he added. “The target of the attack was a police van, which was parked outside a police station,” said police officer Mohsin Hassan Butt said.

“The death toll may increase, as the condition of some of those injured was critical.” A spokesperson for the provincial government Liaqat Shahwani confirmed the attack. “Most of those injured were passersby,” he added.

Prime Minister Imran Khan strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Quetta causing loss of innocent lives. He directed the authorities concerned to provide best medical treatment to the injured.
