Earlier, ties between UAE and India came under fire after many Indian origin people were detained for Islamophobic comments and PM Modi himself had to intervene.
PM Modi tweeted — “Covid-19 does not see race, religion, color, caste, creed, language or borders before striking. Our response and conduct thereafter should attach primacy to unity and brotherhood. We are in this together.”

Pakistani journalists were quick to latch on to the tweet. Leading Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir retweeted the tweet the ‘Princess’ had shared.
