Pakistan also claims to have killed 6 Indian Army Soldiers but New Delhi has not acknowledged the claim while experts have termed it as a mere propaganda.

In a tweet on Tuesday, DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor said Pakistan gave a befitting response to Indian ceasefire violation resulting in the killing of six Indian soldiers including an officer. He said two Indian bunkers were destroyed in action

Army sources reject Pakistan claims that six Indian soldiers were killed in the firing along the line of control in Mendhar and Krishna Ghati Sectors.

An Amy jawan was killed in ceasefire violation (CFV) by Pakistan along the Line of Control on August 20 while Army sources rejected claims by Pakistan that six Indian soldiers were killed in the firing.

“Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation along the line of control in Mendhar and Krishna Ghati Sectors in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir,” the Army said in a statement.

In the exchange of fire in Mendhar Sector, Naik Ravi Ranjan Kumar Singh (36) sustained fatal injuries. He belonged to Gope Bigha village, of Rotasa district in Bihar and is survived by his wife Rita Devi.

Responding to these allegations, Army sources said that the “tweet of six Indian casualties again proves that Pakistan as a nation is only propaganda machinery”.
